The AMPM team recently asked to work on a damp proofing project in Bolsover during a property renovation.
The property was a mid terraced property showing rising damp on both the external and party walls and concrete flooring. Drilled and injected joints with damp proofing cream, fixed plastic membrane and dot and dabbed and plastered the walls with full decoration. Flooring had epoxy resin applied and a floor levelling compound
The customer's requirements were clear from the beginning. They wanted a full design and build of her father's property, which she grew up in. The goal was to modernise the property, make better use of space, and improve energy efficiency. To achieve this, we conducted a thorough design analysis with the customer. We discussed her preferences, what she liked about the property, and the desired design and feel for the renovated property.
How we undertook the project
Once the design was finalised, we began the renovation process by stripping the property 'back to brick'. This allowed us to have a blank canvas to work with and completely transform every aspect of the property. The result was a dream property that the customer could truly call home.
The outcome of the project exceeded expectations. The AMPM team's work not only maximised the use of space but also significantly improved energy efficiency. The property now reflects the customer's personal taste while still holding sentimental value as her childhood home. The customer is thrilled with the final results, as the property now aligns perfectly with her vision.
